Advance Health welcomes students from all academic backgrounds — medicine, engineering, computer science, design, business, and beyond. Any student enrolled at an Irish university is eligible. You can participate individually or in teams.

Not at all. While healthcare knowledge is helpful, we deeply value diverse perspectives and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Industry mentors with healthcare expertise will be available throughout to guide your thinking.

No! We have ice-breaking and team formation sessions on Day 1 (Feb 27) where you can meet other participants and form teams organically. Solo participants are also fully welcome.

The ideathon spans three days: Feb 27–28 and March 15, 2026. All sessions are at The Business School, Trinity College Dublin. Day 1: 18:00–20:00 · Day 2: 09:00–16:00 · Day 3: 09:00–14:00.

Advance Health is completely free to participate. We provide meals, snacks, and mentorship for all participants across all three days.

Bring your laptop, charger, and any hardware you might need. We provide WiFi, power outlets, meals, snacks, and a comfortable workspace at Trinity Business School.

Yes. Top 3–5 groups will be selected to refine their ideas over two weeks with mentor supervision and present at a final Demo Day. Winners are judged on innovation, technical implementation, ethical impact, and presentation quality.

Medical Devices, AI Solutions in Healthcare, Women's Health, Healthcare Screening & Optimisation, Global Health — and an Open Track for any healthcare solution you envision. Each integrates the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
